Face lift in a film....

I guess you can say this story began when we purchased this stainless dishwasher.

On this day our kitchen had become divided. Remember this post. If you want to catch up you can stop and read more about it.

Well,I had talked about how I wanted to change this out next. I have a hard time letting go of things when they work just fine. So I knew my kitchen would be divided for some time now. Well {IT} happened! The handle cracked on the microwave. Oh happy day! I knew that when the time and price was right this would be our next replacement.

Saturday while shopping at Lowes for more wood we found her! She was the last on the shelf so they marked her down so low we could not pass it up.

Why is it so hard to be frugal. I want nothing more than to go out and buy up those last two pieces to complete my set. Just look at em'. He's all white and darn it! He is working just fine, ugh.

While surfing the net looking for info on how to take out your old microwave {happy husband..ha!} I found this site. Have y'all ever heard of this? You can buy a film that looks like the real thing to place over your "old darlings" to make them new again! WEll just call me impressed! You can go here or here and even here to find out more. If my Etsy keeps doing well I think I may just go for the real thing though. If you try the film please let us know how it worked. I would love to see some before and after pictures.

So to complete my set I must get back to painting. Just a thought... Im thinking about repainting my cabinets...yes,again! I thinking about doing away with the glaze and going solid...I'll let y'all know~

And Then There Was Three...

I know... they are cute! Wish they were mine but Sister got to them first. I thought she was going to have to wrestle to keep the yellow one. Ladies can get U.G.L.Y when it comes to home decor!

Here we are. Nothing like baggin' a good one {or three} and bringing em' home. I must tell you though,it was not an easy task. I was so darn busy hunting for a clock that I walked past them darlings. Missy of course spotted them from afar. She had to holla' for back up because one lady just could not understand that she wanted all three.

We loaded them up in a fury and made our move.

I left outta there with only a shutter and all of my limbs in tack{thank you Lord, for you know Im not a fighter}. Im stalking the town up and down looking for old yard sticks. More on that to come~

We found our way to another sale and I picked up this shelf for my work area. Looking forward to playing with that one.
But the best of all is yet to come! If y'all stay tuned I will change your world!! Your kitchen may thank me......trust me.

Answered Prayers...

I made a new sign and topped it with a bow. It's so cute I could almost have another...ok,maybe not that cute!

If y'all are like me and like to change things up a bit you will love this sign too..

You can change the bows out along with your decor..SWEET!

Or..if you are giving this as a gift and the sex or the decor is unknown..here's your sign! Just add a few ribbons along with it and they can decide.

I think I have played with this sign all day. Changing out the ribbons..too fun!

I'm thinking about using this idea with a few of my other signs too.

Hope y'all like ribbon..hehe. I just added them to the shop if anyone has the need...thanks~ Susie

Got Cake!

You guessed it! Must eat cake....

Today We Celebrate!

I have spared y'all greatly with this post. My first thought was to announce my daughters birthday by sharing a shot of my very pudgy belly at 8 months. She came early..no surprise there. Instead I share her passion.

While I started preparing my workspace {kitchen counter top} for my new signs,I looked over and she was doing the same.

She had her brushes and paints neatly lined up.{Her's of better quality,I must admit}

She is nine today. She is full of dreams and soon to be birthday cake {you know how I love cake}. Oh how I need the Lords help on this one. She follows me so closely. She watches. She listens. She wants to be just like me. Help me Lord...keep my footprints in line for she walks close behind~
Happy birthday my little one, Love Momma

This Girl is Back!!!

I knew I couldn't stay away from painting for long. I dreamed about it. I took my paints out and lined them up by color. I straightened my brushes...I knew

I knew once I laid eyes on my Ole' Etsy store that fuzzy feeling would come gushing back...

So you know what I must do. I must paint! I have to paint! It's what I do. It's what I love!

So my "little secret" is out. My Etsy is now open. My brushes are waiting. Im excited!

My family name signs are back. You can have Fleur's added if you like.

As with all of my name signs, they come with "aged" edges. Love it!

Birds...

So if your tempted,I hope you hop on my sidebar,it will take you right there.Just click on my name and have a look see. I am working on some yummy new pieces that will be added soon. Enjoy!

ps.. sorry ,no one guessed my "little secret". I did have to giggle though. Me preggers...hehe~

Good times....

Good times yes but we had our moments.Don't let these cute faces fool you. They fought the whole time. Maybe that's why we got smart and took two cars. One for the kids and one for us. We had Madison ride with us because I'm sure the music and the sibling love was not Mommy standards. Can I get an Amen!

What is it about vacations. Am I the only one who believes it could be picture perfect and everyone happy at one time. Don't get me wrong,as I was very blessed to take a trip,it's just hard when you expect too much out of your dreams. Like no rain..ever. Poor Madison is doing better with her ears but this is how she had to enjoy the beach. No water in the ears for her.

No fussing,no fighting,no biting. Not in my world. Only in my dreams do those vacations exist. We have headed home and decided to stop at a resort to try out a new beach. Rain...again.

That means more family "close" times...yeehaw!

Thank goodness they had a lazy river. Madison loved this!

We also hit the strip and saw some neat sites like this cute hot dog stand.

All in all it was a great trip. What made the biggest smiles on my darling kids faces? This dog! On a stop for gas we saw this "puppy". Needless to say it's not how much money you spend or the pretty beaches. Nor the fancy meals or the sweet places to stay...it's the small things in life that matter. What matters to me? Watching the smiles on those sweet faces and knowing home is only a few miles ahead~
